Areas in the Business Check
01The challenge

Three familiar patterns in small and medium businesses

These patterns grow heavier as the organisation grows.

01

Roles are unclear

Output, target figure and decision authority are not written down for each position, so accountability stays vague.

02

Words do not reach the manager

Things that may never be said directly to a manager stay hidden until they become a crisis or a resignation.

03

Hiring and discipline by taste

Hiring runs on instinct, and mistakes are handled by mood rather than a two-sided code.

02Services

Four services, each with a written deliverable

Every service ends in a document or report you can use.

HR Business Check

A precise picture of six areas: leadership, structure and roles, recruitment and onboarding, performance, team culture, pay and motivation. This step is free.

Service details

Roles and indicators

Job and duty descriptions for up to fifteen positions, plus measurable indicators (KPIs) with a fixed reporting template.

Service details

Hiring, onboarding and discipline

Recruitment process, structured interviews, a 30-day onboarding plan and a behaviour-correction disciplinary code. For some businesses, employment contracts.

Service details

Conversation, coaching and follow-up

Private conversations with staff, management coaching within the project, monthly monitoring and a final impact report.

02The SBE+ method

The goal: from “employee” to “team member”

An employee collects a salary and gives the minimum. A team member belongs, and stays through hard times. My proposed path takes six months.

00

Alignment

We agree with management on the end goal in one shared language, and record the HR objectives.

01

Scan

A business check, interviews with management and private conversations with up to fifteen key employees.

02

Build

Three things per role: output, target figure, decision authority. Job descriptions, recruitment process and a two-sided disciplinary code.

03

Embed

Three monthly questions with each person, private conversations every two months, and a reporting model with one person to follow up.

The first step is a free Business Check.

03Experience

Two experiences from the field

The businesses’ names are confidential. These are real experiences, with identifying details removed.

Anonymous experience 1
One form, one meeting
Before any disciplinary warning
Story

A manager was upset with a cashier and asked for a formal warning, though the cashier had done the job correctly.

Action

The alleged breach was put in writing and reviewed in a private meeting with the manager, the employee and the coach.

Lesson

Two questions about the duty description were enough to stop a warning based on personal taste.

Manufacturing business
Three months
Until a skilled employee left
Story

An administrator whom the manager was happy with said, after three months, that they wanted to work for themselves.

Action

After they left, a confidential conversation with them revealed the real reason.

Lesson

The reason was something never said directly to the manager.

Every organisation grows through its people

My path began in the finance department of a cooperative, then moved to insurance sales and leading a sales network. In those years I saw that growth starts with people. In 2023 I found coaching. Today I coach HR in food and beverage, restaurants and cafés, hospitality, retail, manufacturing, apparel and healthcare.

What I believe
What is built with patience and trust in God endures.

I designed SBE+ myself. In every engagement I facilitate decision-making. Final decisions and execution stay with the business owner.
